Ultradent’s ClearTemp LC is the premier light-cured resin cement designed specifically for luting temporary veneer restorations. Unlike standard temporary cements meant for crowns and bridges, this proprietary formula addresses the unique structural challenges of thin, translucent provisional veneers. It delivers exceptional aesthetic results in the smile zone while ensuring the high retention needed to prevent premature displacement. Key Features and Clinical Benefits

Superior Retention: The light-cured resin formula provides the advanced bond strength required to securely hold thin provisional restorations in place.

Exceptional Aesthetics: Its natural, highly translucent shade prevents dark values or opaque tones from showing through the provisional veneer.

Fluorescent Detection: The chemical composition fluoresces under a standard black UV light, allowing clinicians to effortlessly identify and clean away residual cement.

Selective Adhesion: It is formulated to adhere preferentially to the provisional restoration rather than the tooth structure, minimizing preparation cleanup time.

Ergonomic Delivery: Handheld contra-angle syringes ensure precise, controlled dispensing directly onto the restoration with minimal waste. Step-by-Step Clinical Protocol 1. Preparation and Application

Remove the product from refrigeration and allow it to reach room temperature before use. Clean, rinse, and lightly dry the tooth preparation. Express a sufficient layer of ClearTemp LC to coat the internal surface of the provisional veneer. 2. Seating and Curing

Seat the provisional veneer firmly onto the preparation and adjust its alignment. Remove all excess flash cement from the margins using an explorer or brush. Light cure the restoration using a premium curing device, such as the VALO LED Curing Light, on Standard Power mode for 10 seconds. If using a light with an output below 600 mW/cm², extend the curing time to 20 seconds. 3. Clean Removal

To remove the provisional, use a dental carver or spoon excavator at the margin to break the temporary seal. Because of the high bond strength, the temporary veneer may fracture during removal. Flake off the bulk resin using a blunt hand instrument.

Illuminate the preparation using a UV black light to instantly reveal any remaining transparent cement. Scour the enamel surface with a pumice-type slurry, such as Consepsis Scrub, using a prophy cup or brush. Rinse thoroughly, dry, and proceed to final permanent veneer luting.
