To install the AChat add-on for NeoRouter, you must download the add-on package file and load it directly through the built-in Add-ons Manager in the NeoRouter Network Explorer. The AChat add-on (specifically version 0.150) enables encrypted text chat, folder mirroring, and file transfers over your secure virtual local area network (VLAN). Follow these steps to complete the installation: 1. Download the Add-on File Visit the official NeoRouter Add-ons Page. Locate the AChat Add-on for NeoRouter entry.
Click the download link to save the .nri (NeoRouter Installer) package file to your local computer. 2. Import the Package into NeoRouter
Open the NeoRouter Network Explorer client app on your machine. Log in using your assigned network domain credentials.
Navigate to the top menu and select File, then click on Add-ons.
In the Add-ons Manager window that displays, click the Install… button.
Browse your computer to find the downloaded AChat .nri file, select it, and click Open. 3. Restart and Finalize
A confirmation prompt will indicate if a restart is required.
Fully shut down the client by right-clicking the NeoRouter icon in your OS system tray and choosing Exit. Relaunch the NeoRouter Network Explorer app.
The AChat plugin will now appear in your active add-on panel, allowing you to instantly message network peers or drop files off to offline users.
